Vyaire Medical R&D

I worked on a discovery and design sprint with Vyaire Medical creating a testable prototype in order to validate a proof of concept for an ICU patient monitoring platform. Due to the confidential nature of the work, I am unable to publicly display any deliverables or assets related to the project

Background

Vyaire Medical creates and manufactures a variety of devices for clinical practices. Previously another design studio created an interface concept of the main data visualization of the dashboard experience for a digital solution for ICU patient monitoring. We were brought on board to flesh out their concept and create a functional prototype in order to test and validate the interface and product as a proof of concept.

  • Storyboard Planning

We based the prototype on three seperate scenarios that an ICU nurse would have to make an intervention based on data readings on different vitals of the patient. We created a storyboard that went over the three different scenarios and highlighted the different touchpoints in the interface that a patient would have to review the data and make a decision.

  • Protoype Design

After we outlined the main user journey in the storyboard, I created userflows and screen designs to contain all the necessary information that would be contained in the interface using the storyboard as the main point of direction.

  • Usability Testing

I conducted usability testing sessions in order to get feedback from target users on the interface of the prototype and validate the platform as a proof of concept. Based on the findings, my team made recommendations on how the product could be enhanced in future iterations.
